DODA

What is DODA...?

DODA is an acronym for Dr Olusesi Digital Audiogrammer. It is a Windows-based program written by Biodun Olusesi for assessment of hearing loss using the portable / desktop computer.

Requirements for carrying out DODA...?

To Use DODA the requirements are

· A laptop / desktop computer preferably running on Pentium 4 processor and above

· Windows XP and above Operating System ( This program has not been tested in other versions of Windows OS or on Linux OS)

· Minimum of 25MB of free disk space (Actually the program is just a little above 12.6MB)

· Conventional Headphone that clasps firmly around the ears, and adapted to plug into the phone jack of the PC

· A literate patient whose hearing is to be assessed (The illiterate person's version of DODA is under development)

· Pen and Paper

What Tests can be carried out using DODA...?

Tests like Pure Tone Audiogramming and Speech Audiogramming can be carried out in the current version. Future version will permit measurement of advanced hearing tests.

How much does DODA cost...?

DODA is a freeware being developed for Ear Care / hearing personnel in Africa who have difficulty procuring conventional audiometers and will be made available on demand.
